Privacy is of utmost importance to the founders of ClassDojo, they have promised not make revenues from the user’s data. Instead, they plan to add premium features that parents would pay to use. Hemant Taneja, who serves as the Managing Director for the renowned General Catalyst, led the ClassDojo’s Series B round and introduced SignalFire, GSV, and Reach Capital as the new funders of ClassDojo.

The founders of ClassDojo created the app with the objective of aiding in communication and creating some form of classroom cultures in schools. It received $31.1 million in the first five rounds from 22 investors and just recently, it received $21 million in the Series B round.

 

Stanford’s Project for Education Research that scales in partnership with ClassDojo has come up with a series of animated videos readily available to teachers.
