Clay Siegall has worked for several companies, the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health from 1988 to 1991. In the period of 1991 to 1997, he moved to the Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharmaceutical Research Institute. In 1998, Dr. Siegall co-founded the Seattle Genetics, Chief Executive Officer as well as Chairman of Board of Directors. He has experience in therapeutic drug development and cancer research; he got his Ph.D. in Genetics from George Washington University and B.S. in Zoology from the University of Maryland.

As an expertise in this field, Dr. Siegall has been poached by different companies to assist their activities. The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Business Alliance, he is a Board of Governors, The Washington Biotechnology and Biomedical Association and Alder Biopharmaceuticals, a biotechnology company, serves as Board of Directors.
